Product Description

Hessian vegetable storage sack measuring 20cm x 30cm: a smaller version of the traditional vegetable sack. This hessian sack has been made especially for storing garlic bulbs. You can use it to store your own garlic crops, or use it in the kitchen to keep garlic fresher for longer. It can hold around 6 average-sized bulbs. The smaller sack can also be used for gifts and decorations.

The tough, woven hessian makes the best possible storage material. Air can circulate freely so condensation doesn't build up inside, and vegetables can be kept cool, dark and dry.

Each sack measures 20cm x 30cm, however, sizes may vary as these bags are often stitched by hand or machine.

Storage tips: Ensure vegetables or bulbs are completely dry before placing them in the bag. Onions should be dried out for around 2 weeks, or until they are hard. Do not wash root vegetables before storing them: they keep better with the earth still attached. Store in a cool, dry place.
